Tarlaqueña aces Regional ASEAN Quiz 2018
A Tarlac Province student emerged as the regional champion of 2018 Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) Quiz Region III Competition held in Aquino Hall, Government Center, Maimpis, City of San Fernando last Tuesday, November 27, 2018.
Sixteen-year old Pauline Mae Tuazon from Tarlac National High School bested 16 other students from different schools division in Region III - Central Luzon.
Tarlac Province grabbed a total score of 44 points. Angeles City came second with 40 points while Bataan and Gapan City scored 39 and 38 points respectively.
In the first round of the first segment which is True or False Round, Tuazon got 7 points. She got a perfect score of 10 points for the second round of the first segment which is Multiple Choice Round, and 27 points in the second segment which is the Completion Round.
As a regional champion, Tuazon will compete in the national level ASEAN Quiz which will be held sometime in April 2019.
The ASEAN Quiz is a continuing project of the ASEAN Committee on Culture and Information (COCI) that aims to foster the spirit of healthy competition among ASEAN youth in a friendly quiz game that exposes them to ASEAN cultural, political-economic, and social information.

just a correction, kakatapos lang po ng 8th asean quiz regional level na ginanap po sa bali, indonesia where philippines took home the third spot. the 9th asean quiz national level po ay gaganapin sa 2020 pa between the months of march or april. ASEAN quiz is bi-annual event po in which this year pa lang ginaganap ang search for asean quiz regional champions sa bawat regions sa pilipinas. but, nakakaproud lang kasi inagahan ang paghahanda ng region 3 para sa prestigious event na ito po. by the way, sa singapore gaganapin ang 9th asean quiz regional level. thanks
